Arunava Sinha graced the 33rd session of An Author’s Afternoon on 21st July, 2016, at Taj Bengal, Kolkata. Debutante writer Priyanka Mookerjee moderated the event. The session was presented by Shree Cement in association with Prabha Khaitan Foundation, t2, Siyahi and Taj Bengal. The fun-filled session drew fans of the translator from all over the city.

An Author’s Afternoon presented by Shree Cement and Prabha Khaitan foundation on 4th June, 2016, featured crime writer Zac O’Yeah at The Taj Bengal, Kolkata. Debanjan Chakrabarti, director, British Council (East India), engaged him in a conversation that meandered through turns and interesting twists.

Manu S Pillai

Subroto Bagchi at An Author’s Afternoon of 30th March 2016 was the 29th Guest Author of this series. He was in conversation with young entrepreneur Gandharv Roy. Bagchi is best known for his best- selling business books. The event was presented by Shree Cement in association with Prabha Khaitan Foundation, Taj Bengal, Siyahi and t2.

An Author’s Afternoon on 8th January 2016 had Ravi Subramanian as the Guest Author. Speaking to him was actor-director Arindam Sil. The event at Taj Bengal, Kolkata was presented by Shree Cement in association with Prabha Khaitan Foundation, Siyahi and t2.

Ruchira Gupta

Writer, lecturer, political activist, Ruchira Gupta was in a conversation with Jadavpur professor Paromita Chakravarti in a session of An Author’s Afternoon. It was held on 11th December, 2015 at Taj Bengal Kolkata. She is a frequent spokeswoman on issues of gender equality and is the Founder of Aapne Aap Women Worldwide, an anti-sex trafficking organisation.

Jai Arjun Singh

An Author’s Afternoon featured Jai Arjun Singh, an author of books on Hindi films, spoke to author Rajorshi Chakraborti on November 18, 2015. The event was presented by Shree Cement and organised by Prabha Khaitan Foundation, in association with Siyahi and T2 at Taj Bengal Kolkata.

Ashwin Sanghi

One of India’s best-selling fiction writers Ashwin Sanghi was the star of the 25th edition of An Author’s Afternoon on 2nd September, 2015, at The Taj Bengal, Kolkata. He was in conversation with writer Jash Sen. It was sponsored by Shree Cement and presented by Prabha Khaitan Foundation in association with Siyahi, t2 and Taj Bengal. Ashwin is the author of three best-selling novels: The Rozabal Line, Chanakya’s Chant and The Krishna Key. All his books have been based on historical, theological and mythological themes. He is the winner of Crossword Popular Choice Award. Being from a business-related family he did not have any connection with writing but the ray of light in his life was his grand-uncle from Kanpur who had a large library with some 15-20,000 books.

David Davidar

The 24th edition of An Author’s Afternoon on August 29, 2015, hosted David Davidar at Taj Bengal, Kolkata, was presented by Shree Cement. Davidar was engaged in a conversation with publisher Mandira Sen and shared his ups and downs in the literary world.
