Anupam Kher

Anupam Kher is an Indian actor who has appeared in over 500 films and many plays. Mainly working in Hindi films, he has also appeared in acclaimed international films. Anupam Kher is an author as well and has bestseller books to his credit.

Anuja Chauhan

Anuja Chauhan has worked in advertising for over seventeen years and is credited with major campaigns like Pepsi’s Yeh Dil Maange More and Oye Bubbly, Kurkure’s Tedha Hai Par Mera Hai and Mountain Dew’s Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai. She has written four best-selling romantic comedy novels – The Zoya Factor, Battle for Bittora, Those Pricey Thakur Girls and The House That BJ Built. Two of these have sold movie rights and a third has been made into a daily, prime-time soap on television. Her new novel, Baaz, about three IAF fighter pilots during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, came out in April 2017.

Anita Nair

Anita Nair is the bestselling and critically acclaimed author of the novels The Better Man, Ladies Coupé, Mistress, Lessons in Forgetting, Idris: Keeper of the Light and Alphabet Soup for Lovers. She has also authored a crime series featuring Inspector Gowda.Anita Nair’s other books include a collection of poems titled Malabar Mind, a collection of essays titled Goodnight & God Bless and six books for children. Anita Nair has also written two plays and the screenplay for the movie adaptation of her novel Lessons in Forgetting which was part of the Indian Panorama at IFFI 2012 and won the National Film Award in 2013. Among other awards, she was also given the Central Sahitya Akademi award and the Crossword Prize. Her books have been translated into over thirty one languages around the world. She is also the founder of the creative writing and mentorship program Anita’s Attic. Nair also worked as a creative director of an advertising agency in Bangalore where she wrote her first book, a collection of short stories called Satyr of the Subway, which she sold to Har-Anand Press.The book won her a fellowship from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts.

Anand Neelakantan

Anand Neelakantan invented a new genre in literature: the counter-telling of mythology. He debuted in early 2012 with the block-buster hit Asura – Tale of the Vanquished, which told the story of Ramayana from the point of view of Ravana and a common Asura called Bhadra. The novel was shortlisted for 2013 Crossword Popular Award and still remains on the best-seller charts. The present book, The Shaadi Story, Behind the Scenes of the Big Fat Indian Wedding, examines the Indian wedding through a socio-economic and gendered prism. She has also done the translation of the Hindi classic:Jhansi ki Rani, Lakshmibai. She is the co-founder of the Sweden India Gender Network (SIGN) a platform for collaboration between researchers and universities from India and Sweden.
