Sunita Kohli

Sunita Kohli is a globally recognized, national award-winning interior designer, furniture manufacturer and architectural restorer since 1971. Her professional portfolio includes several significant public and heritage buildings, hotels and hotel boats, forts, palaces, libraries, museums and select residences in India, Egypt, Pakistan, Bhutan and Sri Lanka. She is the President of K2India, an award-winning architectural and design firm, whose CEO IS Kohelika Kohli. She is a former Chairperson of the School of Planning and Architecture in Bhopal and has lectured and presented papers at several universities in the UK and the USA. Most recently, she co-authored ’The Lucknow Cookbook’ with her mother, Chand Sur. In 1992, she was conferred the Padma Shri by the President of India in New Delhi and presented the Mahila Shiromani Award by Mother Teresa in Kolkata.

Sujata Prasad

Sujata Prasad is a civil servant. Aside from her discursive experience in government, she has co-authored a book on health security, edited a journal on public policy and published research papers on different aspects of gender, public health, economic development and the performing arts. She studied history at St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, and sociology at Jawaharlal Nehru University. She is a student of classical music and dance, has written poetry and has been a part of various theatre groups in Delhi.

She is skilled in campaign management, fundraising, corporate social responsibility, business planning, strategy and marketing. Her organization offer funds and channels for medical and legal aid. Apart from life saving functions, it also invests in the education and skill training of survivors and their children.

Sudeep Chakravarti

Sudeep Chakravarti studied at Mayo College, Ajmer, and graduated from St Stephen’s College, Delhi. He began his career in journalism with the Asian Wall Street Journal, and has subsequently worked for Sunday, India Today and Hindustan Times. Currently he is a columnist and consulting editor, and a professional futurist affiliated to the World Future Society.

Sudha Murty

Sudha Murty is the chairperson of the Infosys Foundation in India and a Trustee of the Infosys Foundation USA. She has a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. Sudha Murty is a prolific writer in Kannada and English. She is a columnist for English and Kannada dailies with 24 books and 156 titles to her credit – including novels, non-fiction, travelogues, technical books, and memoirs. Her books have been translated into all major Indian languages. She has been honored with awards for her philanthropic and literary efforts. She has also received the Padma Shri Award from the Government of India as well as seven honorary doctorates from universities in India.

Sudha Shah was schooled in Mumbai and thereafter got her degree in economics from Smith College, USA. Married and settled in Mumbai, she has one son. She has spent the last seven years researching and writing this book.
